Grandasol, Destino, and Ermoso — a new generation of sunflower hybrids adapted to today’s agricultural challenges.

HomeNews

Registration trials have begun in Ukraine for three new high-performance sunflower hybrids — Grandasol, Destino, and Ermoso. We expect official registration and the start of commercialization by 2026.

These are not just new hybrids — they represent the results of advanced breeding efforts focused on meeting the current challenges of Ukrainian agriculture.

Resistance to emerging races of sunflower broomrape

As broomrape continues to spread across much of Ukraine, these new hybrids offer reliable protection and yield stability. Their genetic resistance helps avoid losses even in heavily infested fields.

High drought tolerance

In response to climate change and increasing drought periods, Grandasol, Destino, and Ermoso show excellent tolerance to stress conditions, maintaining productivity even in difficult seasons.

Main characteristics of the hybrids:

  • Grandasol
Robust yield potential, consistency, and adaptability across various Ukrainian climate zones.
  • Destino
High oil content, reliable performance, and agronomic flexibility.
  • Ermoso
Early maturity, drought resistance, and attractive plant architecture.

The development of these hybrids is the result of close collaboration with leading breeding programs and agricultural technologies. We are confident they will perform excellently in the field and become a strong asset to Ukraine's agricultural sector.

Stay tuned for updates on registration and commercial launch in 2026!
